.303 Lee-Speed Long Lee Metford. This rifle was designed by James Paris Lee and incorporates rifling developed by William Metford. This rifling was designed to alleviate some of the problems associated with black powder which this rifle would have originally used. It has an 8 round single stacker magazine and is fitted with a magazine cutoff. It is in full military specification in good overall condition given its age including the barrel which is good. The barrel and action have matching numbers but the bolt is mismatched, the clearing rod is not present.
