This 1924 dated rifle is genuine and original not one that has been cobbled together from parts and repro items. It has a matching numbers throughout and the correct ‘24 dated barrel. The fore end appears to be stamped A212 which I suspect was a mistake made when the rifle was made. It is in very good condition having escaped being called up after the Dunkirk fiasco when almost any rifle that could be used was brought into service. The barrel is excellent with a “mirror” finish and strong rifling, with the overall condition being very good for a rifle that is now 100 years old. A must for any serious Enfield rifle collector which is still in very good shoot able condition.
