This appears to be a 1910 dated Sht LE MkIII* rifle, the date on the wrist is badly rubbed but the barrel carries a '18 date, the nose cap is correctly numbered but the bolt is a mismatch, the fore end is also correctly numbered. The front top wood but disc and rear scope mount all carry the number "311". The butt disc would indicate that this rifle was once held by the 1st South Staffordshire Regiment but in what form is impossible to tell. The barrel is dark with good rifling, the rifle in general is in good overall condition. The Winchester A5 scope appears in good condition with clean optics and is complete with its leather scope covers.
