This Carl Gustafs m/96b rifle is dated 1907 and apart from the rear sight and clearing rod has all matching numbers. The “b” denotes that the muzzle has been screw cut to accept the Swedish Mauser blank firing attachment it is NOT for a sound moderator, it comes complete with an after market metal screw on cover, these were never used in service the Swedish Army used disposable plastic caps to do the same thing. It is in very good condition with a good barrel that gauges at 6.53 it also retains the rather rare range conversion plate on the butt, these when fitted were often removed so to find one in situ is unusual. The woodwork exhibits a very nice aged patina with the whole rifle presenting in a very clean condition.
